FREE SHIPPING IN CONTINENTAL USThree different Crush Washers maybe required when servicing the Compressor Banjo or removing the Stem (or 'outlet valve').
In the exploded view graphic, the largest diameter washer, (depicted in purple), goes between the outlet valve and the AK-50 Compressor cylinder head: qu
antity 1 supplied.
The yellow washer goes between the banjo and the outlet valve, quantity 1 supplied.
T
wo of the blue colored washer are supplied because the Banjo fitting will require replacement more regularly than the others. Identify these two by the two pips on their outside diameter.
All washers are made of a soft grade of Aluminum and are intentionally tight over the threads. Anticipate having to twist or 'thread' them on using a hand tool such as pliers. When the Banjo nut is tightened, this extra material flares into the surrounding threads and improves the seal.
Check the 'blue' washer anytime you are not making good air. The weight of the high pressure hose cantilevered off the banjo contributes to this joint loosening and creating leakage.
None of the washers are actually colored - this only refers to the computer graphic.
