It makes sense to protect your Yak 52's Main wheel bearings from ingress of dirt as soon as these felt seals appear thin or sodden with grease.  This kit of two felts, for one main wheel, is all you'll need.
Fresh felt seals are inexpensive insurance anytime the main wheel needs to be taken apart, (such as when greasing the bearings, changing the tire or tube), and with that brake
    drum
and pads so close by, it's worth checking, at least
annually, that failed felt seals aren't allowing grease near the braking surfaces.
Raise the Yak 52's gear leg at that wing's jacking point so the tire is clear of the ground and free to turn. Release the axle nut's safety wire, remove the axle nut and pull the wheel and tire assembly off the spindle.
With the main wheel and tire assembly removed from the airframe, if you are just changing these felts, there is no need to deflate the inner tube. If you are going further however, ( tire or tube change) now is the time to do that.
Remove the old felts from their grooves. ( see image)
To install the new felt, insert large felt into the external groove and the smaller felt further down in the wheel center.
After re-assembling the main wheel assembly and bearing race onto the axle, tighten the axle nut until providing a vigorous hand spin on the tire, the wheel comes to a stop after one - to one and a half revolutions. Then back the axle nut off 1/2 a turn, checking to see the wheel now turns at least 2 turns with a
    spin of
the same effort - and remember to re-safety the axle nut.
